In Esslingen the largest public transport project of the city is to be completed this autumn. The completion of this project will allow for easy and convenient transfers and trips with the train and bus. Approximately 10 million Euros was invested in the project which is supported by the City of Esslingen, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Province of Baden-Württemberg.
The realisation of the project which began in spring of 2013 brings a long planning process to an end. It was important to clarify how the different functions and requirements of a modern and comfortable ZOB and extremely busy station square can be combined and realised.
The modular city toilet facility, which is placed on the station square, was specially designed for the Esslingen station and includes 5 user cabins as well as an integrated taxi office which includes a kitchenette and a staff toilet. One of the ladies cabins includes a baby changing table and the urinal room has our Urifloor system installed. The accessible cabin also includes a foldable lounger. Much emphasis was placed on the material and colour selection during the planning with a black Trespa façade and epoxy resin floor being selected.
