Replacement new building EÜ Schleusenbach

A very exciting project was realised during a brief lockout phase by Hering Großmaschinen during the timeframe 01.07.2019–05.07.2019 by order of Albert Fischer GmbH with the  provision of track cranes, traction units and railway wagons.

The challenge with the construction project in Lahntal, which is located between Laurenburg and Obernhof, was that the machines, material and personnel could only access the construction site (located approx. 5 km from Laurenburg) by rail.  Another hurdle was the feeder track section near the Laurenburger Tunnel, which had to be driven through with precast reinforced concrete elements measuring up to 5m x 8m.

Lifting of a railway overpass from precast reinforced concrete frame

Two railway slewing cranes erected the up to 46-tonne finished parts on site in three-shift operation and lifted them into the excavation pit in an extremely demanding parallel tandem process. The intermediate transport of the precast reinforced concrete frame from the transfer point in the Laurenburg railway station was completed with our work train locomotive on special low-loader wagons; rubble and new material was transported on our four-axle Rens flat-bed wagons.

Due to the numerous particularities of this constructions site, comprehensive logistical planning was required in the run-up period. We were able to successfully implement this because of our many years of project experience and our experienced crane operation team.

At this stage, we would like to say thank you to all of the parties involved, in particular our contractor Albert Fischer GmbH and his team for their confidence in our project execution.
