Reference project for heavy machinery: Dual use of track cranes in Cuxhaven

As part of the renewal of three railway bridges between Cadenberge and Otterndorf, HERING provided all the associated crane services. Since double the power was required, an EDK KRC810 and the EDK KRC910 were in parallel use.

Crane services in connection with the renewal of three railway overpasses (German EÜ) between Cadenberge and Otterndorf (Hamburg - Cuxhaven line)


Client:

ALBERT FISCHER GmbH (in the framework of an order from Deutsche Bahn AG)

Completion period:

Construction phase 1: four-week shutdown period in Oct. 2017
Construction phase 2: from mid-March 2018

Scope of services:

Execution of all required crane services
- for the removal of the old steel superstructures
- for partial demolition of the upper reinforced concrete abutment areas
as well as lifting the prefabricated new, up to 84t-heavy steel superstructures in tandem process

Features:

Simultaneous use of an EDK KRC 810 and an EDK KRC 910 in tandem process.
Most of the bridge abutments remain intact.
Execution in two construction phases to keep restrictions for rail customers as low as possible.
