Reference project noise protection: Coburg

The VDE German Reunification transportation project 8, partial route Coburg, train speeds up to 300 km/h, construction of a 16-km stretch of sound insulation barriers on bridges and 10 km of sound insulation barriers along the route.
                                                
The German Reunification transportation project No. 8 (abbreviation: VDE 8) is the largest railway transportation project of German Reunification. It includes the new construction and expansion of the railway line or sections with a total length of 515 km between Nuremburg, Erfurt, Halle, Leipzig and Berlin. After the Ilmenau-Erfurt section was completed by the Bögl company, the construction of noise barriers from Ilmenau via Coburg and on to Bad Staffelstein was completed by order of PORR.

The order for Hering along the lot sections 2 and 3 included the supply and assembly of 2,500 pieces of noise barrier pillars along the route, 6,600 units of noise barrier pillars on bridges, 16.5 km of skirting and handrails, the assembly of 40,000 m2 of concrete elements and 30,000 m2 of aluminium elements.
